The time has come again: We are preparing ourselves for the next Marx Is Muss Conference in the end of May 2026! Here you can find tickets and infos for the upcoming conference and impressions of the last one. We are looking forward to seeing all of you!

The world needs radical resistance – against exploitation, repression, war and the destruction of our climate. No Jusitice, No Peace! The general strikes against the genocide in Gaza in Italy have shown us a glimpse of how our class can halt the system with international solidarity. If we want a good, sustainable future, we MUST stop capitalism.

Politicians and corporation bosses want to cling to the system. They maneuver us further and further towards authoritarian states, wars, poverty, injustice and into the climate catastrophe, while they enrich themselfes. Daily, they kill refugees, divide us with racism, sexism and transphobia, thereby – as in the 1930s – sowing the seed for fascist parties, that only wait for their chance to destroy everything associated with grass root emancipation.

Sice more than a hundred years, our side mobilizes millions of people worldwide to take to the streets against repression – many rights were achieved by this fight. But we need People capable of developing revolutionary perspectives from out of these movements – until we finally defeat fascists and capitalism. The MARX IS MUSS Conference is the place in Vienna, where international activists meet to discuss strategies, theorie and practice and to develop hope and resilience for the next battles.

You don’t want to watch how people are killed in Palestine and how Kickl and Co spread their lies? You want to stand up against transphobia and for the rights of refugees? Information about the Conference

Accessability

The conference will take place in the Amerlinghaus (Stiftgasse 8, 1070 Vienna). All events are held in the Saal, buffet and lounge for breaks are located in Raum 4, next to it you will find the toilets. All of the rooms we use are accessible at ground level from the inner courtyard. Unfortunately, there is not enough space in the toilets for a wheelchair and there are no support or grab rails.

Language

As we also have international speakers, some events will be held in English, others in German. At all events, „whispered translation“ will be provided in the audience, with simultaneous English-German, German-English interpretation as required. Discussion contributions from the audience are possible in German or English.

Catering

On Saturday, May 30 and Sunday, May 31, a buffet with food and drinks will be offered in Raum 4 on the first floor, including vegan and gluten-free options. Alcoholic drinks will also be available in the evening. In case of intolerances or allergies and questions about food and drinks, please contact linkswende@posteo.de or the conference team on site.

Tickets, donations and payment

Only cash payment or bank transfer via QR-code or PayPal is possible at our conference. The conference, the travel of international guests and all other activities of Linkswende are financed exclusively by donations and membership fees. With your donation for tickets, buffet or at the material table you support the mobilization for future actions and the building of an anti-capitalist left movement in Austria.
At our material tables you can browse through numerous brochures, books and magazines and also stock up on posters, stickers, buttons and T-shirts.
You can get your ticket in advance at our activities or register online now.You can also buy your ticket directly on site. If you already have a ticket, please show it at the entrance.

Photo and video recordings

We want to document our conference with photos and videos and share impressions on our website and social media. If you do not wish to be recorded, please let the conference team know on site.
